How to reinstall Synergy

Sometimes, things can silently go wrong during the installation of Synergy. Often, reinstalling after doing a full uninstall will solve many problems, especially when upgrading from an earlier version of Synergy.

Synergy 3

To reinstall Synergy 3:

1. Uninstall Synergy 3 as well as Synergy 2 and Synergy 1 (if installed)
2. Confirm removal of config files*
3. Important: Reboot your computer
4. Install Synergy 3

*The uninstall article tells you the folders where we keep the config files on disk. If you need help finding and removing the config files, then please let us know.

Synergy 2

Now that Synergy 2 has reached end of life, all customers have received a complimentary upgrade to Synergy 3, which is the new recommended version. If you have any questions about the upgrade, simply get in touch.
