Are you having trouble launching Synergy after installation?
There are cases where antivirus, or other related programs (Little Snitch, Santa, etc) incorrectly identify Synergy as malware. The app icon may bounce in the dock briefly, but won't ever launch.
Adding Synergy to the allowed list of your program should resolve this issue and allow Synergy to function as normal.
