How to fix "Error code 9" on macOS

Error code 9 means that the config app (the GUI) stopped the main process (the Core). This could be because something went wrong, or because it was manually stopped by clicking the Stop button.

  1. User clicked Stop or Restart.
  2. Server or client mode was switched, and the Start button was clicked.
  3. There is invalid (probably expired) license.
  4. A client connect to a server using TLS, which prompted the fingerprint dialog, that was dismissed (i.e. the user did not accept the fingerprint).
