Synergy will require that both your computers are on the same network and are able to communicate with each other in order to work. If Synergy will not connect, there is a chance your computers are not communicating. You can determine this by running a simple ping test.
The steps for running a ping test depend on the operating system being used. You will also need to know the IP address of each computer. You can find the computers IP address at the top of the Synergy main window.
