Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

Synergy Business & Enterprise

Yes if a company is paying for Synergy, reimbursing you, deploying it, managing it, or buying it through procurement. Any one of those is enough, whoever clicks buy. If you're paying with your own money and nobody is reimbursing you, you want a Personal License instead, even if you use Synergy for work, and even if you buy through your own one-person business. It costs less and it's the right one for you.

One license covers one Synergy server, the computer acting as the keyboard and mouse host. Each person running their own host needs their own license.

Yes. Business purchasing supports quotes, purchase orders, and invoicing with payment terms.

Business Team is priced per seat, and for larger or managed rollouts Enterprise covers flexible licensing. Talk to our team for volume pricing.

Yes. Business Licensing covers rollout through your IT tooling and central management, along with offline and air-gapped activation, which Personal Licenses don't include by default.

These are part of Business purchasing. Contact us to start procurement or a security review.

No. If the company is paying, reimbursing, or directing staff to get Synergy, that's a Business License, however each purchase is made. Expensed or "buy it yourself" arrangements still need Business Licensing.

Yes. Contact us and we'll handle the transition. We can credit what was paid for personal licenses toward a Business License at our discretion.

Subscription licenses stop working at the end of the term. Perpetual licenses keep working forever, but you stop getting updates and support once the term ends. Perpetual buyers can add an optional yearly maintenance plan to keep updates and support.

Both. Every Business license includes Synergy 1 and Synergy 3. Synergy 1 is the mature, enterprise-ready build for mission-critical setups. Synergy 3 is the easier, everyday option. Use whichever fits each machine.

Yes, 14 days. Self-service trials need a card. If you contact us first, we'll set you up without one.

Yes. Business licenses aren't tied to a named person, so anyone at the company can use them. The only limit is concurrent seats, so as long as you're not running more at once than you've paid for, reassign freely.

Add seats any time, self-service or by talking to us. If you'd rather have one license and one renewal date, we'll roll your seats together and pro-rate the difference.

Offline mode is included at no extra cost. On Business and Business Team it's challenge-based: you enter a code on our website for each computer and get one back. Enterprise is keyless offline, so there's no per-device licensing to manage at all.

Yes. For orders of 10 seats or more we'll send a contract, and we're happy to accept a rider or work from your paper.
