Is this personal or business licensing?

This page allows you to purchase a personal license for yourself. With a personal license, you own the license and can use the software at home or at work (anywhere you like, really). If you want to purchase through your business or organization, please contact us about Synergy for Business. A business or organization cannot own a personal license under our license terms.

What number of users should I buy?

If you're buying a personal license for just yourself, then select 1 user. If you're buying for multiple people (e.g. a household) then enter the number of people you're buying for (people means concurrent users). If you want to purchase for multiple people at a business or organization, please contact us about Synergy for Business. For all license types each user gets download access to the installers for all operating systems, you can use your license on as many computers as you like, and there's no limit on the number of screens you can have. You do not need to purchase a user license for each computer or screen.

Will I have lifetime download access?

Yes, you will get lifetime download access to Synergy 1. When Synergy 2 comes on sale (expected late 2019), you will still have download access to Synergy 1 but will need to upgrade to get access to Synergy 2. There will be a reduced Synergy 2 upgrade price. We plan to provide essential security updates to Synergy 1 for up to 2 years after we release the finished, stable version of Synergy 2. If you want to purchase through your business or organization, please contact us about Synergy for Business which entitles you to Pro and Enterprise editions for all versions of Synergy while your license remains active.

What are the system requirements?

Synergy works directly over the LAN (local area network) using either Ethernet or WiFi, so your computers need to be on the same network. Each computer needs to have it's own screen, too (there's no video sharing feature). We support widely available versions of Windows, macOS, Linux, and Raspberry Pi. An internet connection is not required for Synergy 1. See the System Requirements page for more information.

Do you provide technical support?

Absolutely! Both personal and business license holders can easily submit a support ticket. We normally respond to personal license (non-business) users within 48 hours. Tickets from Synergy for Business priority support (business license users) have a 2 hour response time SLA (service level agreement). Please contact us about Synergy for Business if you are purchasing through a business and are interested in priority business support.

Is there a free or trial version available?

Right now we don't have a free version of Synergy available and we don't currently offer a trial version. Please contact us about Synergy for Business if you are purchasing through a business and require a trial before purchasing. Remember, we have a 100% Seamless Guarantee, meaning we'll give you a full refund instantly if you're not happy in any way (so long as you let us know you want a refund within 30 days of purchase).

If I purchase the Basic edition, can I upgrade to Pro?

Yes, the upgrade price after purchasing Basic edition is currently $9.00 for users upgrading from Basic edition to Pro edition. You can easily upgrade at any time from your account. Pro edition gives you TLS/SSL network encryption to provide extra security when sending keystrokes and clipboard data over your LAN connection. For more information, check out our features page. How can I get Synergy 2 Beta early access?

You can buy early access to Synergy 2 Beta for $9.00 after purchasing Synergy 1. This is an optional extra for people who love to try out cutting edge software that may contain bugs. You cannot purchase or use Synergy 2 Beta early access without first having a Synergy 1 license.

Where can I find the license agreement?

Our EULA (end-user license agreement) describes all terms and conditions for purchasing licenses and covers usage of all versions and editions of Synergy. Please contact us if you have any questions about the license terms.

How will the payment appear at my bank?

Payments will appear on your bank account or credit card statement as "Symless" (that's us, we're the company behind Synergy) and may show in GBP currency depending on your bank. If you don't recognize the payment, please contact us directly (rather than contacting your bank) so we can resolve the issue quickly and issue a refund if you need one.

Can I get an invoice for my purchase?

Yes, if you purchase a personal license for yourself through our website, you can download an invoice/receipt PDF from your account page after purchasing. If your organization is purchasing the license, please contact us (we offer standard invoice terms and corporate billing services).
