Our thoughts go out to everyone affected by the ongoing global pandemic. As many people around the world self-isolate, they are facing the challenges of transitioning to working from home for the first time. We are also thinking about people who are facing digital life without any support (everyone, from students to the elderly).
What it means for our customers
Many of our customers are well prepared for working away from the office or indeed already work from home. On the other hand, some are learning to work from home for the first time and are spending time setting up and learning new tools. We are here to help, so please reach out to us if there’s anything we can do.
Our support team is currently experiencing higher volumes of tickets and so our response time has increased. We are planning to add additional resources where required to cope with the situation.
How this affects Symless and the Synergy team
We’re continuing to work hard to support our customers. Our team is fully prepared and equipped for working from home. All employees that normally work from our offices have been working from home since Mon 16th March.
Given the recent uncertainty, we want to assure customers that it’s business as usual at Symless and the Synergy team. We have three new software developers starting within the coming weeks. Given the recent self-isolation measures, they will be starting remotely but this should not negatively impact our progress on Synergy.
Actions to help the community
We are issuing free emergency Synergy licenses for COVID-19 medical/response workers (apply now). These licenses are exclusively for everyone directly connected with the medical response effort to COVID-19. Examples of qualifying types of organizations; Hospitals, Medical Research Centers, Emergency Dispatch Centres, Medical Aid Charities, etc.
Symless will be matching donations from our team members (employees and contractors) related to COVID-19 five-to-one to support response efforts both locally and globally (so for every dollar, Symless will give five).
