Synergy Startup at Boot on Ubuntu 14.04

One of our users, Jim, used a neat trick to get Synergy to start at boot on Ubuntu…

Yesterday, I upgraded from Ubuntu 10.04 to 14.04. For whatever reason, I couldn’t get it to work until AFTER I logged in.

It turns out Jim just needed to add this line to /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf

greeter-setup-script=/usr/bin/synergyc 192.168.1.100

Thanks for sharing Jim!
