Release notes

Synergy Dragon Alpha

v0.2.0 (September 9, 2026)

Improvements

  • Feedback you send can now include a screenshot of the application window.
  • Config sync connection now uses backward-compatible protocol (was broken in v0.1.0).
  • File transfers now ask the receiving computer to accept the files and choose where they are saved before anything is sent.
  • Synergy now warns you when AirDrop's wireless activity is causing stuttering on a Mac, so you know why the pointer feels uneven.
  • Every setting on every connected computer can now be changed from a single computer, so you no longer have to walk to each machine to adjust it.
  • You can now see the core status of every computer in your setup and stop the core on another computer remotely.
  • The connection to the primary computer is now shown on its own row, making it easier to see at a glance.
  • The about screen now shows version and build details, which is useful when reporting a problem.

Bug fixes

  • Stopped a file dropped onto the window under Wayland from navigating away from the current screen.
  • Stopped the tray icon from flooding the system log with errors on GNOME desktops.
  • Restored settings that were lost when the application was restarted, as they are now read back from the background service.
  • Corrected joining computers together so each response is matched to the request it belongs to and both computers are told when the join has finished.
  • Corrected replies being sent to the network address a computer had when it started, so connections keep working after its address changes.
  • Corrected an out-of-date core version being reported by the application.
