v0.1.0 (August 17, 2026)
Synergy Dragon Alpha 0.1.0
The first alpha of Synergy Dragon, a new Synergy app for Windows, macOS and Linux.
This is early software: expect rough edges, and tell us about them from inside
the app.
What you get
- Drag and drop files between computers. Drop a file onto another computer
in the layout view to send it there, with progress shown while it transfers.
- Config profiles. Keep more than one setup and switch between them from the
profile chip in the window header, for example one for the office and one for
home.
- Dark mode. Follows your system, or pick light or dark in Settings.
- Flexible computer layout. Drag computers into position, pan and zoom,
and see each computer's displays drawn to scale, so the point where the pointer
crosses is where you expect.
- Resource monitoring. The Monitor tab shows latency, CPU and memory for every
computer on the network.
- Tray icon with latency. Shows the connection at a glance and, if you turn it on, the
latency to the main computer. Choose the logo, the number, or both from Settings.
- Fingerprint pairing. A new computer is only let in when its fingerprint is
confirmed on both sides.
- Synergy 1 compatibility. Allow Synergy 1 clients to connect, or run this
computer as a Synergy 1 client.
- Diagnostics and feedback. The Diagnostics tab shows live logs from every part
of the app. Save a diagnostics bundle, or send a bug report or feature request
from the speech bubble in the header with the bundle attached.
- In-app updates. The app tells you when a new build is out and installs it for you.
Installing
- Windows: MSI installer (Signed)
- macOS: DMG (Signed and notarized)
- Linux: DEB, RPM and Arch Linux packages.
Good to know
- Alpha builds expire 90 days after they were built. Update to a newer build to
keep going.
- Some settings are shown but not yet wired up. They are disabled and marked
"Coming soon".
- On macOS, the app needs Accessibility permission to control other computers. If
it has not been granted, the app tells you and opens System Settings for you.
- You can install the alpha alongside Synergy 1 or Synergy 3 on the same computer, just make sure they're not running.
