Install Synergy 1 or 2 without root on Ubuntu

3 posts in this topic

I do not have root access to the workstation I use at work.

Is there a way to install or at least run Synergy 1 or 2 without root access?

Is there a list of dependencies I can look at to see if this will be feasible in any way?

It seems that they have a bug with Ubuntu 16.04 on version 2.1.0. However, since I cannot build (because I can't install cmake or flatpak) I guess I will have to wait for you guys to finish on the a sudoless version.

Thanks for the recommendation though! I will keep an eye on Barrier and hopefully they release another version that is prebuilt.
