MacOS error : There was a problem connecting to the auto-config service.

Hi everyone

I used Synergy from beta version 2.0. Until now i install latest version 2.0.11 and tried 2.0.12 beta too.
It's always display this error on my Mac OS 10.12.6

Could you support get last stable version, please ? Because i really need it for my work.

Maybe there are some problems in newsiest MAC version. I had upgrade from 2.0.9 to 2.0.11 last week and fall back to 2.0.9 last night because the connection lost problem.

Now for me, 2.0.9 is so far so good.....

Do you know how to rollback to version 2.0.9 like you ? Because i only see latest version on website.

I just remove the 2.0.11 and restore 2.0.9 from time machine, what is your previous version of it?

I don't remember as well. Previous version is beta 2.0 (on preview version time).
I haven't used Synergy in long time.

Thank you for your help! Maybe Synergy should allow download various version for using.

I'm having this same problem on my Mac running 2.0.11. It seems like Symless support is useless, because I sent my log files a week ago (7 full days) and I've heard NOTHING from them. I come to the forums, and it looks like this is a known issue, and they can't even tell me that :(

 

I downloaded 2.0.12-beta, and I get the same error. I couldn't find 2.0.9 from the download page. it looks like it only allows direct download of the latest version. How can I find the 2.0.9 Mac download?

Same issue here. My PC and Mac have stopped seeing each other since 2.0.10. With every new version, I eagerly install the newer version to see if its fixed. Luckily I have the install files for 2.0.8.  Installing that (even when a newer version is installed) gets you the older version.

I have to concur that the synergy support is barely functional. I gave up after submitting log files, etc and getting vanilla responses with thanks for submitting errors, we are working on it.

I understand that they might be resource constrained, but this issue breaks the core function of the product and needs to be addressed with higher priority.

@Jeffrey Leonard @Shammi Yes, very disappointed. Because after more than 6 months haven't use Synergy, it still not stable as my expected.

Honestly speaking, version 2.0.x(x<10) is working well, maybe just for me. But from the issue handling this time, we will feel the very poor technical support from Symless. 

The funny thing is, as a software provider, how dare you can just allow your customers to get the last version of product. Who gives you the confidence to ensure the correctness of each version of the software, aha...9_9

I am so disappointed :(

Every time I give a try the version 2 - it just doesn't work. How is this even possible? And today I tried the last: 2.0.12, and I hit another bug. C'mon guys, wtf?

I go back to the version which works for me and is the less buggy - 1.8.8

I checked now and see Synergy already allow to download both version 1 and 2.

Maybe they heard from the dark. Anyway, it's good news for us. 

Now let's start to download and try it!

I cheked.

Version 2.0.12 beta still occur same error on mac OS 10.12.6

Now i have to use version 1.9.1 both 

- Mac OS 10.12.6

- Windows 10 Pro 64 bit Build 1803

Waiting until next version of Synergy 2!
