Have to click taskbar on host

So I am having a VERY annoying issue, whereby I cannot click on my client PC. I can move my mouse to it just fine and the cursor works, but I cannot click on anything.

To fix it, I have to move my mouse to the host PC, click on the taskbar and then go back to the client PC.
I have to do this EVERY time I want to do something on the client PC.

Is there anything I can do to fix this?
If I can't fix this then synergy is fairly unusable for me

Seems like these people have the same issue. Suggested fix is to restart the service but that only works very temporarily and it starts doing it again after a couple mins.

Yeah Ive tried reinstalling, and even reinstalled windows on the client. Still same issue.

windows 10 on both, both legitimate, activated and fully upto date
