Forced to restart background service every few days on windows 7 pro

I have a windows 8.1 and windows 7 machine with synergy 2, I was having issues due to my 8.1 server ip changing so I bought synergy 2 since bonjour never worked consistently, and now this new service constantly fails to connect. What can I do to fix this

I have not. I may have fixed it though, I did not uninstall any of the bonjour / apple services when I upgraded from synergy 1 to 2, and after uninstalling ALL traces of apple and restarting, it has been far more reliable... knock on wood I didn't jinx it.
