Getting started: Unable to Connect

Greetings!

I'm new to Synergy 2. Recently, I tried to connect 2 laptops running on Windows10 using home network; it was smooth. Now that I've moved to campus' cafeteria, I couldn't connect; there's a green progress bar that keeps progressing but not connecting my laptops. I've also tried using mobile hotspot, which also failed.

Any tips on this issue?

Is there a firewall on the net that's blocking Synergy's access to the configuration servers?
