Unique Setup: Windows 10 (Host) - Ubuntu 16.04 (Client)

Recommended Posts

Hello,
I have a unique setup.

Host:
Windows 10 Surface Pro 4 with 4 external monitors (5 total)
[5 Monitors to the right]

Client:
Ubuntu Desktop 16.04 with 2 monitors
[Left two monitors]

The bottom monitor is the Surface Pro and it should NOT scroll to another computer.  Only the two monitors directly above it should be able to scroll left to the two Ubuntu monitors.

With the Surface Pro as a host, I am only able to scroll from the Surface Pro monitor over to Ubuntu.  What am I doing wrong?

NOTE:
Ideally I would like to have Ubuntu be the host.  This seems to work the best, but has two flaws:

1) Scrolling right from Ubuntu will scroll to all three monitors
2) Scrolling up and down between the Surface Pro monitor and the one above it is off.  If I scroll down, the mouse shows up way to the right on the Surface Pro.

Any ideas on how I can resolve this? I have tried using dead corners to no avail.

Thanks,
Steve

Just to clarify:
With the Surface Pro as a host, I am able to scroll ONLY from the Surface Pro monitor over to Ubuntu.  I can't scroll from the two monitors above it LEFT to Ubuntu.

A few more clarifications:
I just signed up today (Nov 4th 2017), so I should have the latest stable build.

Windows: 1.1.8-stable-25a8cb2
Ubuntu: synergyc 1.8.8, protocol version 1.6
