Well, I got around to uninstalling Synergy 1.8 and installing Synergy 2.0. Windows 10 desktop PC it seemed to work fine - I'm assuming the green window is an indicator that things are working. My Windows 7 laptop sitting next to it, connected to the same router, same IP I could not get it to light up. I ran services.msc as admin and tried restarting it several times, uninstalled/reinstalled, rebooted etc. and no go for the Windows 7 laptop. Will have to reinstall the old for now since I need it for tomorrow and will try again some other time.

wait for beta 5, due in at least a week.

it might improve things.

Just tried.  Getting problem connection to the background service.  On both my machines.  Please advise.

Nick, saw your post on killing synergy background service.  Not running on my Mac.  How to restart it?
