tanker7 0
I have a windows pc that I'm trying to run as the server to a mac client. They aren't connecting to each other. The pc's log is here: https://synergy-logs.symless.com/2017-09-22/1724-2017-09-22T10-40-54.log The mac's log is here: https://synergy-logs.symless.com/2017-09-22/1724-2017-09-22T10-41-25.log
tanker7 0
Quick note. I did try the troubleshooting tips first before submitting the logs.
ryanhaver 3
Perhaps try this. It worked for me. You may need to adjust the steps based on the platforms you are using Synergy with. The main idea is that any legacy installs and/or their remnants may be causing issues with connectivity. https://symless.com/forums/topic/4026-getting-mouse-and-keyboard-to-work/?do=findComment&comment=16674
tanker7 0
That did help. I am now able to connect my 2 machines but I had to disable my pc's firewall to do it. I was able to turn it back on once I was connected and it appears to be working fine now. I had tried turning off the firewall before, but it didn't seem to help. I think perhaps the clean installs helped. Thanks Edited September 23, 2017 by tanker7
ryanhaver 3
I've seen similar results. I've tried multiple installs where nothing works and then I disable firewalls completely and it works fine, then you can re-enable the firewall and it continues to work. Even with Windows firewall allowing the application and any associated traffic for it through, disabling it was necessary.
Synergy Team Nick Bolton 407 Posted September 23, 2017 Synergy Team Share Posted September 23, 2017 These issues will be fixed in beta5, which is due in about 4-5 weeks.
