Server Times Out - Server and Client not communicating

Recommended Posts

I've followed your setup directions precisely and correct installed the server and client programs on the appropriate computers, setting up and naming the machines correctly.  The client program keeps giving me the error message "WARNING: failed to connect to server; 192.168.0.1, which is the correct address of my server machine. i've pinged that IP from my machine and get a timed out error as well.  Is it possible the setup incorrectly identified the server?  If this program can't connect on my machines, I think I want my money back.  Help?

Information from Log in Server program:

Please provide more details about your machines (OS, 32/64 bit, Synergy version installed, connected to the network via Ethernet or Wi-Fi, specify which one is the server). Also, post a screenshot of both machine's Synergy interface and the Server Configuration interface on your server machine.

I just purchased and downloaded Synergy, so it's safe to assume it is the latest version, right?  I've attached a screenshot of both the client and server configurations.  Both machines are 64-bit and run Windows 10, latest version.  I am connecting over a wireless network.

Screenshot of that ^ please.
Also, can you replace the screenshot for your server machine where it'll show us the most recent logs generated?

Isn't there a more efficient means of customer service?  I haven't been able to use this program since I purchased it Monday.

Don't know what you mean by "Server Configuration interface on your server machine" unless it the last screenshot posted.

In fact, Paul, thank you for the assistance, but I think I just would like my money refunded for the program.  It's $20.00+ that isn't doing me any good.  I did a search on Google and found Microsoft's "Mouse without Borders" and it setup like a charm with no hitches.  Thanks anyway.  When could I expect a refund?
