I have my iMac as my Server and Windows as Client and it keeps saying failed to connect to server: timed out

Please provide more details about your machines (OS, 32/64 bit, Synergy version installed, connected to the network via Ethernet or Wi-Fi, specify which one is the server). Also, post a screenshot of both machine's Synergy interface and the Server Configuration interface on your server machine.

Server: iMac OS- downloaded for MacOS- both computers are on WiFi

Client: Windows 10 Home 64-bit operating system

I posted all the details- i'm not posting on a chatroom wall my ip addresses for my computer

Are you not using private IP address on your machines? Do you have WAN IP addresses on them?Posting a screenshot showing an IP address provided by SOHO routers is not a security risk. You can check other threads here and you'll see a bunch of screenshots posted to further diagnose the issue.

Also, please follow this format - OS, 32/64 bit, Synergy version installed, connected to the network via Ethernet or Wi-Fi, specify which one is the server.
