Compatibility with Processor

6 posts in this topic

Synergy installed great on my Mac but when I went to install it on my Windows laptop, which has a compatible OS, I'm getting the error "This installation package is not supported by this processor type."  My processor on that machine is an Intel Core2 Duo U7600.  I checked the system requirements page before purchasing and saw notes about supported OS's, but saw nothing about hardware requirements, so I assumed I'd be ok.  If it turns out I can't use Synergy on the Windows laptop because of this issue, I feel I'm entitled to a refund.  But I would really prefer to just get it working.  Are you able to help?

What Windows OS version do you have? Also, what Synergy version are you trying to install?

Ah, I needed to download the 32-bit.  By default it downloaded the 64-bit version.  Going to try to install now and see if I can get this working.
