Can't launch Synergy

I purchased Synergy Pro last week and it was working fine. Server is Mac OS El Capitan (10.11.6) and client is Mac OS Yosemite (10.10.5). All of a sudden the cursor froze on client and server is no longer running. I try to start by double-clicking on Synergy application but nothing happens.

My son figured it out. When I'm running VPN on client it can't talk to server. As long as VPN isn't running it's working.
